Prince a dance artist?

Would you consider Prince a dance artist? R&B, pop, rock, alternative, yes, but dance?

I say Yes. I also say his dancey songs has influenced today's EDM scene.

Does he dance a lot lately?

Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

you don't have to dance to be a dance artist. You just have to make dance music. The Bee Gees didn't dance but were the kings of dance music in the 70s.

No.

He showed some interest in the early 90s by putting out some house remixes on a few maxi singles. "Gett Off", "Cream", "Gangster Glam". "MNIP" had a couple of mixes that were more along the lines of european rave scene. "Loose!" showed yet more interest on Princes part in that industrial sound. Then he went back to house music with the "P.Control" mixes and "Beautiful".

He's never made an actual "Dance" album. Over the past 20 years he's released very little you could actually dance to.

Baryshnikow is one of the greatest ballett dancers ever and he said in an interview that he was mighty impressed by Prince's dancing.

As much as I would LOVE for Prince to dleve into house/edm/tec/deep tech....

it's not interesting enough for him I think, it's not easy to do WELL, but it's easy to do for someone like Prince, I suspect he may feel its beneath him and in many respects he may very well be right.

As a house head & dj tho....oh man would I love to produce a Prince dance album, or have my hubby do it ---- there are alot of underground remixes of Princes stuff and most of them are horrific. Prince really would have to do it himself, but if he hooked up with danny krivit, francois k, dennis ferrer/sydenham/tiger stripes, marcus wyatt, the martinez brothers, joe clausell...i think i might explode from excitement lololol

But I've heard that if you can move like Gregory Hines + MC Hammer + a sprinkling of Prince + James Brown on the dance floor you will be loved by the ladies. lol
What?
