New love for Purple Rain the song For years I've not listened to this song because I've heard it so many times.
But the other day I listened to it and I realized this is the perfect intersection of art and pop. Tonight I listened to it on repeat. The main guitar solo contains every human emotion.

I can honestly say I am yet to get sick of this song, even after hearing it god knows how many times. Always cry 4 love, never cry 4 pain.

I've never been tired of this song. I refused to let the overplay delute it's majesty.

Agreed that solo is proof of a higher power. It entrances me and I don't snap out of it until the "hooo, hooos" start. It never did that to me the first 185 times I heard it. I wonder what was different this time. Whatever it is I love it. I still think the album version is the best version of it. That solo is just fucking perfect. It never needs to be tweaked.
