The #PrincePodcast is back with an interview with Dr. Fink!

As the main keyboardist from The Rebels, The Revolution, Sign O’ The Times/Lovesexy and NPG bands Dr. Fink joins us to talk about his time with Prince.

Great interview fellas. Props to Michael Dean for conducting the interview and Fink seems like a genuinely down to earth and friendly guy who was candid about so many topics and respectively guarded about other questions. I did think it was odd Fink dry snitched by implying Prince used cocaine after Fink left the band but quickly qualified the assertion that it's Prince's business.

Sorry, I know its not on topic, but I've always hated when people say "there's no smoke without fire". Such a load of mindless bollocks. There is very often a hell of a lot of smoke with no fire anywhere near it. People just love smoke.

Looking back, I think it might've been good for him to push Price some instead of apparently nearly always being deferential, but that just seems to be his personality. I get what you're saying, but what was different about with this podcast is the Matt Fink gave us minimal time to do the interview. (Roughly 45 minutes). Couple that with some very long answers that he would sometimes give and it leaves little room to pursue a question. Questions weren't screened and you want to cover many topics, but little time with a lot of exposition by the interviewee = few questions that may go all over the place.

But I definitely get what you're saying.

Thanks for the thought through response. One thing I will say is that it's great that you let the interviewee complete his thoughts, rather than cutting him off.

Pure speculation at best, gossip at worst.

I saw Prince perform about 25 times during the mid-90's - AND I've worked in a drug rehab center(meth, crack, and troubled teens on assorted narcotics) - including having dealth with substance and alcohol abuse in my own family. I saw no indication that Prince was ever high or abusing drugs.

Maybe he did or maybe he didn't, we have absolutely no proof from this conversation or reasonable doubt from his "fucked up pictures"

Lots of people become born again Christians or delve deeper into religion without abusing drugs or hitting rock bottom. I live in the Midwest, many people here are devout Christians and JW's by choice, not as a matter of survival.

Please don't speculate based on heresay and one conversation. I could find ten former associates of his who would say he's never touched any drugs.

I believe Prince's mom requested he become a Witness before she passed on...just saying....

Loved the interview - great to hear from one of Prince's longest working band members - nicely conducted questions. Couldn't wait to stick on on of the gigs from the early days (New York '81 - excellent) and hear the Doctor play.
