Interesting experience 30 minutes ago driving to the local GNC store and listening to our very good jazz station KMHD (which features blues, beat driven electronic jazz, funk as well) and hearing what I thought was "WOW" from 3rdeyegirl reinterpretted by a gritty singer. It was in fact Liv Warfield doing her version of the same song called "Unexpected" on her album. 3rdeyegirl version wins by a nose for me with its rocker leanings, but Liv's can "SANG!"

BTW, I called the DJ and let him know about "Unexpected's" twin sister "WOW" and dude knew nothing about 3rdeyegirl and Prince. Funny enough......he told me that Liv (who is from PDX) is a good friend of his...odd. I encouraged him to pick up 3rdeyegirl and give it a spin, maybe play a track or two. I thought I'd share mainly for the real fans of P & 3 in the "org" [knowing there will be about 5 uber-sarcastic 3rdeyegirl-Prince hater feaux critics with biased critique comments to follow].
