I,too, feel that this album seems like it was rushed. There are some good songs on it,but considering that this was the follow-up to a very successful debut album,I think it should have been better and stronger.
"Sister Fate" is decent, but it's not extraordinary. It bombed as the first single. The song seems to be hastily written and it is not nearly as interesting or as catchy as "The Glamorous Life".This album needed a stronger lead single.
"A Love Bizarre" is excellent,of course. The only problem is,it sounds more like a "Prince featuring Sheila E." track He totally dominates this tune.
The killer track on this album is "Toy Box",which would have been an excellent first single.
"Yellow" is cute, but it's not substantial. It's more of a gimmicky track.
The title track is OK,I guess.
"Bedtime Story" is GREAT.On this song,Sheila is beginning to show some great vocal skill.

I think her third album,Sheila E.,is her best work. It's filled with strong songs, and less gimmicks.Such a shame that she was no longer a solo artist by the time it was released. She wasn't able to fully promote it and it faded away too quickly | |
