Actually it sounds more like "moqué?".

"U Know"

The song has hypnotic flow (it's practically a lullaby)

Prince digs deep down to original "rap" á la Isaac Hayes which was all about sexual seduction

The fact that the song is a play on, and samples heavily from, Mila J's Blinded just reinforces the raw sexuality of the whole delivery and the notion that rap is the playground of those who must sample because they can't create fully engaging and dynamic songs on their own (on of Prince's own redundant criticisms of the genre) or those who use rap to give praise to other artists' music while adding their own spin.

-- and --

"Marz"

Is a punk rock spin on the ghetto black social political politics of rap music as much as it decries (like Lovesexy's "Dance On") the horrid choices some black males make which get them in sucked into the criminal injustice vortex, in contrast to gangsta rap which seems hell bent on espousing violence and stupidy.

almost too musical and original like "P Control", but clearly one of his more exciting additions to the genre.

"Everytime u want it I'll be live, bring a date
I mean computer when its over press save"

Historical lyrics.

"A loop is a loop is a loop is a loop is a loop is a loop is a loop".

I love Pope and its plunky synth riff.
I love the female voice that goes "po-o-ope".
The whole production is great.

Still, Prince can't help himself from singing. It's never really rap, even in Days Of Wild :

He starts rapping, but by the end of the phrase he's singing, it's odd.
Every verse in DOW has a kind of up and down melody,
whereas a rapper would machine gun syllabes. Or at least it would sound more percussive.
Prince almost raps "in tune".

Maybe he's all busy sounding sexy while he raps, and so it never really comes off as it should.

None of this "No, that's not rap, that syncopated speaking" bullshit. If he's spitting rhymes, and they're not notes on a scale, he's rapping. Housequake wins. biggrin

"Player" is an awesome song..It's smooth and poppy at the same time with a good flow. I've never heard Prince rap like this before.
