i used to not like this song, until i realized i had access to an alternate version (The Line #2)..

now i love it...Boni Boyer always was one of my favorite voices on Prince songs around the Lovesexy era...i still keep LeGrind in constant rotation because of her

Come on, Mad Sex and Wasted Kisses from the NPS album! Great songs.

Sounds really great on a nice system too. I know this was kind of a "joke" answer on a Prince thread, but I couldn't help commenting on what I think is a brilliant piece of work made by a dying genius at the end of his short life. It's also a great realization of how his work on the Synclavier had progressed from his first released projects utilizing it. Makes you wonder what kind of stuff Frank might have come up with had he lived to experiment with all of the incredible technology which started emerging not long after he died. Damn.

Love ... Thy Will Be Done, Prince version is my most recent rediscovery, too. I never got into it at all before. The beginning was too, um, monotone for me. And the title was kind of weird. ^ Ok, not only that, but listening to it a second time,
this is now "Guitar State of Grace" #2 to me, right after "Just My Imagination - Small Club".

On headphones the infra-bass are great, you get a feeling of the room,
the whole thing sounds perfect, defaults and all. Musicians are on the same track.
That has to be Michael B. and Sonny T.

Damn, that's a discovery of totally different version!

I know he linked a clip of the song on twitter a while back but didn't know he had performed a cover. I'll have to see if I can find it. I agree, that is a great song.
