I remember a year ago this seemed to have a good chance of coming out, not sure if that is the name of it, but it is the horns heavy album with Big City, Shades of Umber and a few other rumored songs.

DICK sounds good 2 my ears....English is not my motherl anguage !

it doesn't make much sense to me, to record music and then not release it. especially when it's the sort of music only fans would want to hear (NPGQ type stuff, even 3rd eye girl to be honest) why not just give it away for free or put up a short term site for a small fee - or just release it to itunes with very little fanfare so only the hardcore will know, thus keeping it out of the media news ("Prince drops sub-par jazz instrumental album"). and then give the masses the pop/rock orientated stuff they want.

I heard it was being remastered.

Another shelved project (more than 10 albums have been sannounced then shelved since 1998 I think). Of note is that they always happened (from The Rebels and Sue Ann's album in 1979 on) but the difference since the internet is that now they actually get announced, creating a sense of expectation then frustration when we realize then won't happen.

No one in the 80's wondered where was their copy ofe The Flesh, but now we all mourn Madrid 2 Chicago, Welcome 2 America and so on.
