Prince pulls music from all streaming services except Tidal Move comes without official word from singer Jul 02 2015 07:40:25 AM PDT : http://www.kxly.com/enter...l/33950116
Prince has apparently decided to opt out of all music streaming services, except for one: Tidal. The singer's music was removed from the just launched Apple Music as well as Spotify and Rdio this week without any official word coming from Prince himself or his representatives. The only notice was one on Prince's page on Spotify, stating that "Prince’s publisher has asked all streaming services to remove his catalog. We have cooperated with the request, and hope to bring his music back as soon as possible." However, his music remained up on the Jay Z fronted Tidal, as seen from his artist page on the service. Prince has often had an uneasy relationship with new music technology and even technology in general. His camp has long strived to keep his music off YouTube and he has no official channel on the site. Last fall he also deleted his Facebook and Twitter accounts, although he has since returned to social media. Despite that, he still is maintaining another online presence through his continued use of Soundcloud. Even as his music disappeared from other streaming services, he posted a new song, "Hardrocklover," to Soundcloud on Wednesday.
not sure if this has alrady been posted, but i think not.
