Sex Shooter is a great sexy 80's pop hit. I love it. In all directions. "Drop that stereo before I blow your Goddamn nuts off, asshole!"

Sex Shooter to me is a lot like most of the Rainbow children, the music and playing are great, off the hook funkiness, the synth line is suprememly sexy and cool and it reminds me forever of Morri sin Purple "Now lets have some asses wigglin, Ah want some perfection - WOWAAHHH!!! " slaps 5 with Jerome on one hand and then he spins his fingers in a point on the other and the synth line comes on again "I think I need a drink - the bitches are okay, but we need something more exciting" . Leave the funky ass synth line, drum tracks and the Time playing Prince's meldoy lines and you have a cool song, but why did Morris decide that Apollonia babe would help it Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

Not only do I think that's an awesome song, I have used it for the summer, I'll admit lol I would actually like the song if it didn't have the heart beat sample the it's the only reason I can't stand that song i love Ed Sheeran to but I can't listen to small bump (those 2 songs are creepy, scary & all kinds of wrong) I'm just not ok with the themes 4 those tracks but other then that those artist are my favs All of this and more is 4 u. I believe so too, I think it is a fantastic song. I do understand that some have difficulties with some of the lyrics, but the music is great IMO. RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...

if he wrote the liners like lore says...really makes u wonder what goes on in that fuckers head.
here's challenge 2....
take all of the songs on this thread and imagine Prince in the control room singing the lyrics into a microphone...an uncountable number of times.

Both equally. U know....for the longest time, animal kingdom was the worst....and I got used to hating it as such.... ...but I must admit a new one was born. Purple and gold is worse. After 15 us year or summin....animal kingdom has been eclipsed.

Wedding Feast isn't even a song--it's an interlude, or a segue. It advances plot, maybe, if there really is one on that album--but it's not a standalone song. . It should not be part of this discussion, in my opinion.

It's cute imo

From his major commercial releases, I can't bear:
Take Me With U - Appolonia's voice ruins it and it drags on and on (good drum intro and strings tho') Slow Love - fast forward time! Arms of Orion - cheesy beyond belief - stinks the joint out! Diamonds and Pearls - as above The Morning Papers - snooze fest Life o the Party - ridiculous and embarrassing refrain. I mean " goody for you" - wtf? Definitely a good way to clear the dance floor!

Life o the Party has steadfastly refused to get better for me. I like Arms of Orion and The Morning Papers (well, I'd like The Morning Papers better if it weren't for the age issues). The other three are the weakest tracks (or near weakest) on their albums--I did fast forward Slow Love most of the time back in '87 (Sign was a cassette for me). I often just dropped the needle on The Beautiful Ones when I played Purple Rain (if I wanted Let's Go Crazy I played the 12-inch). Diamonds and Pearls I let play, but the drop-off between mid-range and poor on that album (or even between best and worst) wasn't as great on that album.

The 3 underlined, for real? Oh hell naw! There are many lesser jams on Diamonds and Pearls and as far as I am concerned anything off Sign o the Times should be protected by another amendment to the constitution. . The rest are pretty spot, Life of the Party is HOOORRRIBBBLLLEEE!! In fact the whole Musicology album is way overated, most boring album he has ever issued. Take me with u is ruined by apples, but I like the groove and its place in the movie. Arms of Orion is pure crap. Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

C'mon y'all, Life o the Party isn't that bad. The beat and verses are decent. The humor in it is cool. But Candy's chorus is just absolutely horrible and train wrecks the song. Worst song? Hmm. I'm going with historical context. Grafitti Bridge was the first downright embarrassing song. And that was followed the next year with the terrible "Get Stupid" Jughead. But I choose Jughead as the worst. You can excuse GB as being a soundtrack song. Purple and Gold is actually worse as a standalone song, but at that point, Prince already had a dozen or more terrible songs. Jughead is the original harbinger of bad storms on the horizon. irreverence said: I have never understood the dislike for Animal Kingdom. Agreed. I heard it as an interesting album track since the first time I listened to it. It's cool to hear his vegan beliefs on record. And the song was pretty cool & unique. Then I see half the Org hating on it. Huh? It'd be like hating Dance On or The Future. These tracks aren't mind-blowing, but they're experimental, interesting, and to me enjoyable. "Love & honesty, peace & harmony"
