Prince - The Dancer Appreciation Thread I understand why he doesn't dance as much anymore due to age and the hip thing but does that mean we have to pretend that we don't know and remember that the man could dance his little sexy ass off and in heels? I say nay! Nay, I say, damn it!

Yes!!!!! One of my favorite, and first memories is at the end of Purple Rain, after he made everyone cry (especially Apolonia), he did I Would Die 4 U/ Baby, I'm a Star and as everyone knows it was amazing!!! I also like the PartyMan music video! I liked the intro where he walks in and then cues something then he does something I can't explain, then he goes into a split! I like the whole Controversy music video.. And even though he doesn't dance that much nowadays, back in March in Louisville, I witnessed him getting his groove on to Kiss, Cool/Don't Stop Till You Get Enough! That has to be my favorite memory cause I was there!! Yeah, he's an awesome dancer! I'd say that if he wanted to, back in the day he could pull off something that could rival MJ's dance performances! Prince does a lot spins and pop-locking now. I wish he would do the splits, but alas age has caught up with him. Hate to see him try and can't get back up. __________________________________________________

Prince basically went from being a very talented young guy who 'Moved' well with a guitar onstage- 1978-1982 to.. Michael Jackson's biggest threat as a performer! 1983- Today!
The Splits.. The Leaps off the piano.. The slides across the stage to grab the mic.. The Spins.. The Crazy Back Slides like in the SOTT movie- 'housequke' Prince was/is a Badass!

Of all his wonderful, amazing, spectacular...etc. dance performances, the ones with him and Cat will always have a special place in my heart because they were just so much fun to watch. I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart. | |

Very, very quick reflexes, excellent balance & timing, strong, flexible.
Even when doing a simple step with others, he never fails to be funkier than the rest 
I love the big wow moves but I also love the more subtle stuff. Really love the original off key freaky styles. Been studying his moves since I was a little girl who had to dance daily...he's a bad mf on the floor.
