. I was this close to making my own thread about it 
. Beautiful song. The keyboards remind me of Adore which is a favorite, but it has its own flavor. Mavis did her thang (I honestly never really listened to her version til hearing Prince's, 
), but P's vocals really soar. He nails it and he wasn't even really trying 
. I love love love love fucking love this song. i.e. I like it a lot. "Drop that stereo before I blow your Goddamn nuts off, asshole!"

i think mavis does this one really good service, i think i actually prefer her version - she has that lovely soft-yet-rough voice that serves it well. i once played this at work and some pleb said what's this shit - pears before the swine. | |

He is quite the composer, gorgeous. This song took me places back when I picked up Mavis' album. It's funny because I didn't even know it had been released, or that it had Prince involvement...
