It is a live rehearsal but the bootleg I have (Moonraker's Soul Psychodelicide) does not include The Sex Of It.

I had the Moonraker release (still got it somewhere) and would listen to it and U Gotta Shake Something with headphones and the lights off all the time when I was younger. I know a lot of people rag on these kind of Revolution rehearsal jams for showing their limitations or whatever, but I could listen to them all day long. Same goes for The Flesh, Billy's Sunglasses, Noon Rendezvous rehearsal/live etc, etc - Just where they get in a groove and it seems to envelop you in a mood or emotion and it keeps you there. The War is a similar kind of thing for me

I just looked at my collection and I apparently have like 4-5 studio versions of this song and I've just never listened to them. Shit. My collection is just too big.

I really wish I had access to Revolution rehearsals when I was younger. As a muscian they have actually been really valuable to me. They way the recordings humanize the Revolution's writing and rehearsal process alone was kind of a revelation. Their band practice and the way the tell each other to do stuff sounds just like my band practice. Super cool. Also, the Rev jamming is really one of my favorite things.

I don't know the answer to your question, but, I don't no how it could be better quality. The Moonraker release sounds about as good as it possibly could. If you acquire that one, you won't be disappointed!

LOL. I just checked my collection of CD's and I already have this. I don't think I have ever listened to this one so thanks for bringing this to our attention. I will be listening to this tomorrow

Isn't it awesome when you get excited about finding and hearing something only to discover you already have it? It's happened to me a few times lately. A couple weeks ago I was going crazy looking for the First Ave 83 show in my AUDIO collection. I totally forgot, until BigChick reminded me, about the excellent Makings Of The Rain DVD boot. He suggested I seek it out, I walked over to the shelf, and there it was!! Sweeeeet!!

Is it better quality in that it sounds better, or, is it just better because it's more complete? And, has it been confirmed which order is the correct version?

I'll have to dig that one off the hard drive and compare. As far as the sound quality, Moonraker sounds perfect. I don't know how Sabotage could improve the already excellent fidelity, but, I'll check it out. Thanks for the heads up!!

No I'm talking about the single 59 minute track where whenever the drums splash Prince yells "Ice Cream!" There is no George Clinton in this version.
