Worst coda for me is probably Splash.

Best is too hard.

I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man! So funky, so weird, so Prince. I love how it slowly builds back into the main riff.

I agree. Great topic. Hopefully some of you (just like me) understands the meaning of the repeat/playback button.

I don't know if this is a coda but the rock part that ends Papa. Should have been its own song.

Reading about all these awesome codas, really reinforces for me just how important they are, a chance for Prince to throw something super-experimental into a pop song. So many ideas in his brain that he can chuck in a few seconds of something like its nothing, and it's better than the whole damn rest of the song. They always leave you wanting more. And its so tantalising because you just know that Prince jammed on that cool bit for a long time after the song fades out.

PIPS! Eurgh...

- Private Joy (come on, it's not a solo),

- Moonbeam Levels,
- Free,
- Irresistible Bitch,
- God (Instrumental),
- Anotherloverholenyohead,

- The Ballad Of Dorothy Parker,

- U Got The Look,
- Forever In My Life,

- Glam Slam,

- Vicki Waiting,

- Can't Stop This Feeling I Got,

- 3 Chains O' Gold.

... and

- I Will,

which is a strange case of a coda being a song in itself.

No Child's a failure
Until the Blue Sailboat sails him away from his dreams

The last 2-3 minutes of "Come" are pretty fabulous.

Smokin' coda on the end of "Shhh".

Other honorable mentions: "Vicki Waiting", "Another Lonely Christmas", "Glam Slam", "Thunder".

COME - This! This! This....12 min mark is my favorite part of any Prince song ever
