Favorite instrumental Prince track My vote is for The Love Theme from Purple Rain it sounds like a professional score on par with Danny Elfman and John Williams compositions.

I guess you should specify 'Released' or not... He has a LOT of unreleased instrumentals
God the Love Theme and Alexis De Paris are almost cousins... I'm tied here
But Susannah's Pajamas has a special place in my heart too

I like most of them to be honest, I wish he do an Xpectation or a NEWS more frequently - I could handle one every few releases.
I really like An Honest Man, Fourteen, Alexa de Paris, Kenya, Xogenous.

I really like An Honest Man, Fourteen, Alexa de Paris, Kenya, Xogenous. I do too. I listen to N.E.W.S as much as I do his 80's stuff. Shagged so many gals with that as the soundtrack. Quiet storm music for sure. [Edited 5/19/15 21:17pm]

I like the talking 'Squirrel meat' bit on 2 Nigs United 4 West Compton. But the rest of the song just sounds like 1980's noise, like a ball barring caught in one of Phil Collins steel toe capped boots. My favourite instrumental by Prince would be, The Sensual Everafter. The first Madhouse album is also great. Grits and gravy, cheese eggs and jam...
Butterscotch clouds, a tangerine and a side order of ham.

I'd say "1" + "16" + "Trafic Jam".
