In an effort to make it up to Hatrina because I don't want to screw the pooch when it comes to this well intentioned thread, when it comes to Prince's ability to dance, the good far outweighs any bad.
Prince is the reason I learned to dance (and got damn good at it )

Thankfully, I was already grown by then. I can only dreadfully imagine what still being in high school would have been like at the time. I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart. |

Having just yesterday seen the movie "Chocolate City", if that whole being a musical superstar legend thing hadn't work out for him, he could have still made his fortune as a male dancer. IJS!

What kind of dance moves does he do now? Any recent concert recollections?
Prince does a lot spins and pop-locking now. I wish he would do the splits, but alas age has caught up with him. Hate to see him try and can't get back up.

Thieves in the Temple extended is extraordinary for prince dancing. Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind. |

Another skill that Jimi, Lennon/McCartney, Neil Young, Dylan, etc. don't have and another reason why P is the most complex performing musical artist of the last 100 years!
Anyone have the amazing SOTT Movie Housequake back crawl split...athletically amazing. |

Sexy motherfucker!
I've always loved Prince's spontaneous, free dancing and I'm definitely crazy about the splits. I personally think he peaked in 1987/88 with the SOTT/Lovesexy Tours. But even in the '90s all the way up until Rave unto the Year 2000 his dancing was amazing, except for that that err.. 'homoerotic' thing in 1991. But since 2000, I haven't seen him dance as much. More like he grooves nowadays. But that's understandable especially considering his hip issues in recent years
Only complaint I'd have is I wish Prince did a little more choreography back in his heydey. Michael, Janet, and Prince were all awesome dancers, but they had the edge over him when it came to choreography and organized dance moves. Oh well. Maybe do, just not like did before |

I agree with this post. But I can't stop laughing at that Graffiti Bridge era pic of him in the green polka dot pajama things. WHAT THE HELL He wore that at Rock in Rio II in South America as well, I believe
Maybe do, just not like did before |
