Q: Y Should I Do That When I Can Do This?

They were okay, but it was the era I was giving up on him giving something of substance...until he threw all that mess away and came out with the Rainbow Children finally.
High was alright
Hypno Paradise i loved on first listen, but now I find the chorus kind of annoying.
Peace was nice.
Underneath the Cream I like
Gamillah is beautiful
Slaughterhouse is funky
Y Should I Do That -seem like I was the only one who was feeling that track.
Vavvom was cute, but should have been a live track. Guitar was def inspired of this track. Straight Jacket Funk Affair
Album plays and love for vinyl records.

KingSausage said: Van Gogh! Yes, I new I forgot something. That's a good one. I've never even heard Jukeboz With A Heartbeat. Damn. Has anyone ever detailed which songs were censored, extended, or otherwise changed from the Ahdio shows to the eventual Chocolate/Slaughterhouse releases? I feel like I've only ever heard censored versions. I missed out on most of these tracks back in the day. I had next to no disposable income, so I passed on joining the NPGMC. I only heard these songs on random CDs friends sent me, most of which stopped working years ago. There's a long and short version of my medallion. I think u didn't like it much...but IMO is an excellent attempt at storytelling rap. And its hilarious IMO....stick his fat neck up in my jewels! Lol.

This is my least favorite era. The only song I play from this time frame is underneath the cream. And I like that one alot. a groovey masterpiece I call it seemed very uninspired... like throw aways from the rave album.

A made my own High album back then and I still listen to it occasionally. Track list: High (I have always loved this track...my vote for worst title track will always be Graffiti Bridge) Supercute (LOVE this track...I still think could've been a hit given the attention) Y Should I Do That... When Will We be Paid The Dance (I like this version just as much as the 3121 one) Vavoom When Eye Lay My Hands Slaughterhouse Sex me sex me not Underneath the Cream Peace U Make My Sunshine

Im not too keen on the era. I can take a few good songs out of it though. I think it is his most uninspired period, Emancipation to the end of this particular period was pretty dreadful.

These songs are hit-or-miss, and several of them are really dated. I listened to the bulk of them last week.

The chorus was obviously stolen from this song: (chorus starts at 02:20)
And I guess he received a nice letter from Eric Burdon's lawyer. That would explain why this is one of the few tracks that didn't end up on either "The chocolate invasion" or "the slaughterhouse" album.
I really love some of the mentioned tracks like supercute, When eye lay my hands on u, slaughterhouse, etc... Most of the stuff is just okay and a few are real stinkers. I think "High" sounds really dated, the production was lazy.

Several of the songs are slightly different between the NPGMC downloads and the Musicology downloads. . This whole era will be one that will be interesting for "collectors" just because of how rare and "fanclub-only" it was. For completists only.

[Edited 6/8/15 6:05am] U r so right. I don't know how I always forget this but I do. I remember playing it for a home who was heavy into Burdon and he picked it out in seconds unbeknown to me initially.

Y Should I Do That... Props N Pounds Jukebox With A Heartbeat
These are the songs from that era that I can enjoy, some more than others. The rest of that era is pure rubbish IMO. RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...
