Today I listened to the Peach & Black Podcast review of the Lovesexy album. I can't remember which of the crew stated that on almost every Prince album there is a song that sounds like Prince wrote it in a dream, I've heard that a few times in their previous podcasts but after hearing this one I decided to compile a playlist based on Songs that only Prince Could Write/Prince Dream Songs. I've called it Paisley Park. Tell me your thoughts.

I'd argue that Beautiful Strange could pass for a soundgarden song and somewhere here on earth could be on a million jazz-lite albums. The rest, for better and for worse, i'd probably agree with. When Doves Cry should be on there though, and everything by Camille.

You are right about Beautiful Strange. I adore Soundgarden (they are the best band to come out of Seattle) but could you see those guys writing If I Was Your Girlfriend? Only Prince could write those two songs. And no Jazz musician could write Glam Slam. As far as When Doves Cry goes you are absolutely right but I have heard my fill of that song. It is too overplayed for me.
