Sticky Like Glue This has to be one of the most underated tracks Prince has released in a while... Has that 1986 Parade sound feel to it... Hell if this song was created in the 80's everyone would be praising it.
Don't know why this song doesn't get any love... Everytime I play this song I feel like im in the Parade era again...

It's the highlight of 20ten for me and I'd agree - underrated. But Parade-era worthy? Not for me. Check out The Mountains and the Sea, a Prince podcast by yours truly and my wife. More info at https://www.facebook.com/TMATSPodcast/

I love 20ten and that's my favorite track on it. I could do without the rap, but honestly he's had far, FAR shittier raps. So it's all good. Best of all, my wife HATES that song. So I play it all the time. I'm a good husband. "Drop that stereo before I blow your Goddamn nuts off, asshole!"

Yep. Definitely one of his better tracks of the last decade. Has always reminded me of "Wonderful Ass" for some reason - not so much musically, but just a similar vibe. Toejam @ Peach & Black Podcast: http://peachandblack.podbean.com

Loved this jam then, and still love it. I couldn't get past Future Soul Song and this one when 20TEN dropped. Played tracks 3 and 4, over and over, before I could get to the rest of the album.

I have a killer 13-minute long version on a live boot. I love it. "Drop that stereo before I blow your Goddamn nuts off, asshole!"

Is that from The Netherlands or a similar vicinity in Europe? I vaguely remember having that at one point. "That's when stars collide. When there's space for what u want, and ur heart is open wide."

Yea I totally agree, just don't know why it never got so much love here... It's the rythm, the beat, the vibe that reminds of his 80's funk... Something that no other Prince song in the last 10 years has done so... Sticky Like Glue, by no means is a masterpiece, I just feel it is one of his best grooves he's released that reminds us of his 80's funk.

The 10-minute rehearsal of "Sticky Like Glue" with Cora Coleman, Joshua Dunham, Morris Hayes and the background singers is incredibly funky and really picked up the groov established on the studio version and then some. Prince's off the cuff remarks are downright hilarious in how he says them. Even when he mentions "Morris!" for a moment it reminds me of the chemistry between Prince and Morris Day on "Cloreen Bacon Skin". 3121 #1 THIS YEAR

It's from a livestream that Prince did on June 22, 2013 called 3RDEYETV. It was later on a boot called "Prince-3RDEYETV". 3121 #1 THIS YEAR

I agree this is the best song off the 20Ten record... GREATEST?? Not sure about that... However since the 2000's this is deff one of his best funk tracks and one of his most consistant tracks.

I really want to research this track more... This is so 80's sounding and I wouldn't be surprised if it was an unfinished outtake we just never heard about...

background vocals is too sexy...im assuming its liv and shelby, sounding like The Emotions, or Mary Martin and Alfa Anderson from Chic...not trying to overhype the song, but thats my shit... ima play it right now... 1...

one of P's best displays of rhythm guitar work ever...right after he says "..a'ight, thats the part..", ol boy goes off on them strangs...

Reminds me of KISS in a way... I bet u this track is an outtake of some kind that was unfinished with no name from 86 and just readded on for the 20Ten album.

His playing is just beautiful on this song. It's a shame that many people (damn near everyone!) in the U.S. will never hear this song. "Drop that stereo before I blow your Goddamn nuts off, asshole!"

I think this track is so overlooked because this is such a subpar album... I mean Planet Earth, LotusFlow3r and 20Ten were some of his worst consistant albums one after the other...

I love the whole album aside from the last two songs. I think it's one of his strongest works since TGE. "Drop that stereo before I blow your Goddamn nuts off, asshole!"
