Regarding you being worthy enough to work with him, yes. But there really are a lot of fans hoping he'd work with [insert name of popular artist/producer] because they think a collaboration could bring back the old Prince.

Well it's not working too much...His fans are... In all due repsect, pretty up their in age... I was probably the youngest "fan" at the two concerts besides the children brought by their parents...

No one escapes time. I have far more respect for those who endure it and keep kicking ass as they age they those who are supposedly "it" today. I did when I was young and I still do as I age. This is why the fact that Prince is still here and doing it at this level is all the more remarkable. Go back to the late 70s and see how many of his contemporaries from that decade you can still find. And if you can find them, see how many are doing what Prince is still doing.

I submit that he doesn't need to worry about the young audience because there isnt much getting through to them if it isnt twerking or rapping something stupid. Real music has been lost for nearly 2 decades now. Prince is one of the last standing bastions of it. IN fact, he is now imparting upon a stage in his illustrious career in which he may be considered the greatest living bastion of it.

I agree that it's great that Prince is still in the game, but your post screams of fanaticism. There's a lot of great music out there, you're just not going to hear it on the radio.

I was concerned in the beginning about Joshua Welton at first but when I really think about it AOA is no different than the other albums. Only Prince really knows what he fully produced or what he had help with in the studio. I do believe, at least in a demo form, Prince probably writes most to all of his songs but when he is in the studio and he is cutting the final version of the song other people probably influence and inspire changes, as they always had done in the past. I think Prince is now more open to give more credit to other people for their creative input. But in the end all the records are Prince records so Prince has a final say as to what goes on the album.

I find it similar to when I read how Stephen King writes certain novels. SK will do a draft, then he lets it sit around for a while, and then goe back to edit it. Steve lets other people read his drafts and sometimes his wife will make suggestions, or his editor, or his kids, so Steve makes changes, and revisions until he thinks he has the best version of the story. Steve usually thanks all these people in his afterword in his books and if the book fails he blames himself. I am sure prince does similar things with his records as many creative people do. People have people they trust to bounce ideas off of and for the moment Josh is in the inner Prince circle. I find all these new influences is only making the albums better. And I am sure Prince still stays up all night working on songs like he used when he was young too.
