I had to look up America because I wasn't familiar. Musically, they do sound similar but that's where it ends. Just a mid-tempo jam with some guitar.

America's lyrics are generic and a bit trite, and I honestly can't get into Andre's vocals.

Prince's lyrics for Baltimore might be simple, but I still like the song a lot better. And it's not because it's Prince, it's only because it's compared to Andre Cymome.
