Yeah. He was driving FAST. I was a bit tipsy and walking a little too far out in the street. If he had hit me, maybe it would have been like the end of Graffiti Bridge!

The last car he showed off with was a pretty expensive car, a Bentley, but that was when the 21 Nights picture book came out. And I think that his cars were also mentioned in one of those articles that was written around the time Lotusflower and MPLSound came out. He made the journalist listen to the CD in one of his cars.

This is by the way something that many musicians do. You get a much better idea of the sound if you listen to music in a car. Many musician I know listen to their new tunes in their car before they put the finishing touches on their music.

Z1 was 1991/1992, Z3 was 1996/1997, Mustang was 1994, Prowler was around 2000/2001 . . . I would say almost 14 years is quite a long time when you're talking about cars.

Prince doesn't seem to visually age, which kinda distorts the whole "time" thing. I have a hard time believing Purple Rain was 31 years ago. I was 12 years old then.

Speaking of the Celebrations. One year, they had some of Prince's vehicles on display. There was the 'yellow' Z1 which had been repainted in glitter gold. White Z1. Buick Wildcat from Under the Cherry Moon. A white limo from Purple Rain days. Both the black and purple motorcycles from GB and Purple Rain. A gold Buick Electra? that was used on the first NPG album cover.

The Z3 is the one from the Betcha By Golly Wow video. The Z8 above was made famous in that one James Bond movie with Pierce Brosnan. Don´t remember the name. Prince is definitely a BMW fan though....he thanked them in the booklet of the Emancipation album.

Yeah, was busy when writing the post, somebody posted earlier that the yellow BMW was a Z1... had that model number on the mind. It's a yellow 850i which had been painted glitter gold - looked like a cheap paint job as paint was flaking off revealing the original yellow paint underneath - such a beautiful car to do that to. And it's a white Z3 - not a Z1.

I only saw him drive in Under the Cherry Moon, which was alright. He also posed in that car in Alphabet St. During the Lovesexy Tour, he would enter the stage from a Thunderbird.
