NO TROLL THREADS! NO SOLICITING FOR BOOTLEGS! Discussion is fine, so long as the bootleg is not being promoted e.g. pre-release; requests/offers to share or copy, and links to download or bootleg sites are not. Posting Prince and associated artist videos from sites such as YouTube is also not allowed. Posts of this nature will be deleted and repeat offenders will be first warned, and then banned. Troll threads, fake tracklists, and attention seeking rumor threads will be also be swiftly dealt with. These rules are strictly enforced! ----- [luv4u] And that includes hinting for/never heard it/orgnote me/wish I could hear it, etc. etc. - will be dealt with temp bans. The org does not need a purple legal smackdown.

A message from the Free Boot Generation team

Firstly, we hope you enjoy the latest 3 volumes in the ‘From The Soundboard’ series - We’re happy to be able to share these with the wider fan community.

We are aware however that the usual suspects will already be burning copies of this to disc and selling it to fans who aren’t aware that this is a free release put together by fans, for fans to share.

We’d ask that if possible you share these releases with as many other fans as you can in order to decrease the number of them being conned into purchasing it. The only person who should make money from Prince’s music is Prince.

Of course in an ideal world you’d be able to pay money to the artist for these recordings, so if you’ve enjoyed these soundboard shows and feel like contributing in some way, perhaps make a donation to a charity which Prince has been involved with in the past.

All the best, and keep on funking!

The FBG team.

Always cry 4 love, never cry 4 pain.

Now this is awesome! The mix is almost as good as the Detroit show and the set list is certainly nothing to complain about after the past two shows.

-

I think Prince's voice is a bit strained on this one.

Jeez, FBG is on fiyah! Thanks so much to everyone.

WOW sounds fantastic with the backup singers. A modern classic, I say. I feel like they should get another album together, so they have some stronger rock tracks like this to choose from, and then actually play them live.

Loving the new arrangment of FUNKNROLL.

Not sure about the new keyboard line on PRETZEL. Also, that song sounds better when Prince sticks to the melody on the chorus.

The new Nothing Compares 2 U arrangment is nice. Kind of starts off like Sinead's version, and then switches to his.

Still trying to get used to the new Kiss arrangement. Sounds kind of empty or something, until that classic rhythm guitar line kicks in. "U don't have 2 watch Love And Hip Hop 2 have an attitude." lol

WHAT IF sounds horrid, partially because Prince's voice is shot. Is this the first time we've heard Hannah sing live? Not bad, considering she's also playing drums. The guitar solos are nice, too. This song's gotta go, though. Play it during Bible study or something, but keep it out of the set.

The Beautiful Ones is kinda cool, with just him at the piano. Prince still pulls out a great vocal, even though the voice is kinda going. If this is the first show that night, I hate to think about the condition of his voice for the second show. Ouch.

I don't know if I can listen to this show in it's entirety because Prince's voice makes my throat hurt, but there are plenty of fine moments throughout. I love that the band is getting better with each gig. It seems Hannah is getting her tendency to rush the tempo in check. It's kind of embarrassing to hear a song start at one tempo, and almost immediately slow down during the open bars, as if Prince shot a look or something. I only noticed it during WOW this time.

Yeah, I've been very impressed by these FBG releases. Not only because FBG does such amazing work, but also because I'm enjoying the gigs WAY more than I thought I would. The new songs sound great for the most part. I really wish Prince would play more from AOA. The version of Clouds from volume 1 is stellar but too short. Replace the dull stale covers with your originals, Prince! People want to hear YOUR music!

If Prince ever decided to officially release his live shit (hahahahaha) he should totally hire the FBG folks to package it for him. Their work is exemplary.

It's great work, and I do graphic design for a living.

.

A lot of these types of boots have typos and low-res images, but the FBG artwork is great. I only noticed one possible "typo", and that is listing the drummer as Hannah Welton-Ford instead of Hannah Ford-Welton. I can't confirm that though . . .

Holy Shit indeed. These versions are amazing and show how good the song should have been, wish there was a studio version of this arrangement. Same goes for the arrangements of FunkNRoll, God, if ony he was still doing maxi-single versions. Wow live too is shit hot - hope he plays some of the other recent album tracks too!

.

So recently we've had pbl, fnr, breakdown, clouds, plec elec, wow, what if, baltimore ... marz and another love if you count SNL, would you include ex's face, when it's only been a few seconds, also weren't there a few seconds of u know? Did I miss any? Would make a nice little EP of newer stuff live anyway...but which versions? If I have time I'll get back to thee!

.

Does his voice sound a little gruff in this? A bit more gravelly? Still. These boots are fantastic!!
