Prince as a musician resisted covers which I think is why when he did they were so good. One of us was far better than the original. As said earlier betcha by golly wow I think was phenomenal. Pure pure pure. Whatever people say about emancipation I think it showcased prince as an arrived grown up n this was probably best exemplified by the covers. | |

The jazzy version of "Red House" is hip too. There's a show where he covered "Voodoo Chile", "Skin Tight", "Sweet Thing" and "The Girl Can't Help It" (NOT the Journey song...Little Richard) and he killed it. | |

Just My Imagination from Small Club is amazing. There's also the preformance from New Morning Club in '87 which is good. I also love Crimson and Clover and would love to hear him do a complete version of A Case Of You in the same vain as the 83 First Avenue Show. If a man is considered guilty
