Can someone please have mr Prince read this?

It is story from a website titled

Steve Albini: The music industry is a parasite… and copyright is dead

Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

So do not be afraid, as there are gems like:

.

‘CONtractual agreements are a complete fallacy’

“The idea that you have to have CONtracts to do [business] agreements, that you have to have formal understanding between people in order to have a long relationship, is a complete fallacy.

“If you enjoy working with someone and both feel the relationship is working out, you naturally carry on indefinitely.

.

This sounds very much like P's idea of the universe.

Steve Albini once told my band to rehearse more quietly at Fortress Studios in London as he was mixing upstairs. I thought that was wonderfully ironic. We forgave him, cos he produced "In Utero" and that's some classic shit.

He doesn't accept royalties or producer credits for albums he works on, he just takes a flat fee. So the success (or otherwise) of a record means nothing to him, which is quite admirable.

Or (also) he is damn good and knows it too. So he knows he can survive on a flat fee.

Less stellar people (like us) would take the royalties option most of the time I guess.
