OMG this version of How Come U Don't Call Me is off the charts, I mean REALLY.
He's hitting notes I totally wasn't expecting, usually it's up to Ab5 (which still is extremely high) but on this one he goes up to Db6
My brain just melted. Thank you Prince. |

Can anyone inform on the files themselves? Are they FLAC, WAV, or MP3? |

It's FLAC, but it's from a lossy source. Strangely, the frequency cuts off at 19khz. Always cry 4 love, never cry 4 pain. |

thanks a lot (for a "rare" soundboard! recording)..
thanks: to all involved 4 doing "the work"..
And yes the cover art is amazing..!
The medley: "What Have U Done 4 me Lately" is funkyyyyyyy!!
And of course its a pleasure to hear "Act Of God" live...
"The Love We Make" and, and... so many great moments..
At first listen I was a little disappointed by all those short snippets, otherwise... now I really like it.... it keeps getting better.

^ really? Are you complaining about this free recording..
Imo you should complain about those lossy "audience recordings" (I dislikes those myself)...
But -in this case- you should appreciate a soundboard! Just imo.. "Peace". Prince 4Ever. |

A cutoff at 19khz, e.g. the -3dB point, will not be noticed by many.
Do they hear beyond 16 khz anyways? Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry. |

No, but I find it odd that people reencode lossy sources to a lossless format. Always cry 4 love, never cry 4 pain. |

That is to be able to say: "but i have a flac!".
OTOH: what mp3 bitrates preserves until 19 KHz?
256 Kbit/s? Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry. |

No encoder that I know of cuts the frequency off at 19khz, that's why I find it very weird. Low quality lossy formats are usually 16khz and higher quality ones are 20khz. Always cry 4 love, never cry 4 pain. |

It's a generally good show with a few very strong highlights. That being said, a) it blows away the shitty Hit & Run shows he did in the early 00s with Kirky J on drums ("on drums") and b) I can see how members of the general public who aren't nutty fucking Prince fans like me who collect 25 different versions of Computer Blue would be blown away by this show. "Drop that stereo before I blow your Goddamn nuts off, asshole!"

From an official source? I was wondering if it was Rita Ora but looks like probably not then.
Unofficial. A guy on twitter who posts a lot of Prince related news said Dr Funkenberry confirmed it, so how accurate it is I don't know. |

The last montreaux release was a fake sb. Curious if this one is too. It's like they think if the taper is standing near the sb that they can call it a sb |

Considering how low the audience reaction is in the mix I'm pretty sure it's soundboard. I was reading earlier on the boards that Prince had" lost his voice" - why do people say that when it's pretty clearly not true?

so is prince behind this release? like that 'we got no love for bootleggers' boot cover with the rehearsals on it?
At the risk of stating the obvious, No. And he wasn't involved in the 'We got no love...' Boot either.
is this and the we got no love one the only boots prince has made? how does he contact you to do the cover email, phone? I'm feeling a bit fammy™ |

The stereo separation on both boots certainly points to them being soundboards.

I was at the actual concert. This makes me feel like I'm there again!
There was a sound issue and Prince called out the sound guy directly. I didn't hear that on this set though, unless I'm missing it. |

Bollocks. They are fully mixed from the original DIs along with crowed mics.

Yeah, that is some crystal clear shit. No way audience. She Believed in Fairytales and Princes, He Believed the voices coming from his stereo
