I have en edit of this, with the breakdown completely removed and it just goes on through to the fadout. I actually like it better without the breakdown. I think it's a fan made edit, but it's seamless.

Can you find one picture of this single? Or even a screenshot of it listed as a single in a discography? You sound very sure. Are you getting it mixed up with The Most Beautiful girl in the World?

There's all sorts of poorly put together oddities out there on streaming.

Parade on Spotify (UK/Ireland) has the single version of Kiss, which is also at about 3 times the volume of the rest of the album. Same, volume wise, for Girls & Boys (I guess single and album version are the same length-wise).

Single version of I would Die 4 U on Purple Rain as well.

It's like Prince's entire musical legacy is crumbling into an ugly, confusing pile of fan edits, single cuts, and wildly varying volumes.

The version for sale on iTunes is shorter than the physical CD. It's not a fan-made version. Why the hell would Spotify track down a fan-made version of something and stick it up on their site. That's utterly retarded. Guess what else? If a track is marked "Album Only" on iTunes, don't bitch to iTunes. It was the lable that told iTunes to do that.

The iTunes version has been updated to include the full length version.

I don't understand why prince can't sort out the mess on these music sites, as he now has complete control. or maybe he just doesn't care. or is waiting for the right moment to overhaul everything (INCLUDING THE RUDE BITS!) with the remastered version. a bit like George Lucas and Speilberg with E.T and Star Wars.

I agree, this is an awful mess. Whomever is responsible for replacing album versions by single or fanmade edits on streaming and online record stores deserves to be beaten-up with a lathi.

There is an official single edit of ICNTTPOYM but no such thing for IGBABN.
