I have read on the org many, many times that these Montreux performances were among Prince's top few. I finally witnessed what the fuss was about. Empty Room is indeed awesome. Even after all of the accolades I've read about these Montreux performances, I wasn't prepared for the really decent quality, clarity, and closeness to the action in these videos. I was fortunate to hear him play it at the first London ONA show. I think he then went straight into All the Critics after that. Awsome. |
