From what I have seen, it will be around 8pm Eastern time and no you don't have to register.

The rollingstone article says this is a 60 minute broadcast.

Same thought came to me after I posted my other song suggestions yesterday. A 70's peace/anti-war song like Marvin's "What's Going On" (he'd def. have to clear permission from the family first to not risk any "Blurred Lines" situation!), or some other pro-peace song from the 70's would be nice for him to cover. I have ALWAYS loved "Ooh Child" by The Five Stairsteps. That song is so very comforting and hopeful. I remember the day after 9/11 feeling a powerful urge to hear it for some desperately needed solace. Man, Prince could do that song incredible justice and it could have a real healing effect on the audience and those attending via Tidal.

I also forgot to suggest "America" earlier. That's political. Lyrics date to the cold war but they also touch on the topic of poverty. IIRC, song's not race heavy. The anthem guitar solo strikes a chord and is of course immediately recognizable no matter where you're from in the US. To play it at the Rally is like making a statement that Black America IS (a facet of) America and we're all supposed to be on the same team--members of the same human family. What threatens the freedom of one threatens us all. Freedom, Love, Joy, Peace. Four of the highest human ideals packed into this song, and he could engage the audience with a call-and-response on those chants, and/or on the chorus.

Nice, kind of "annoying" because I have my ticket (Floor seats!) First time he's played the DMV in what 15 or 20 years? Nice being able to see him without jumping through a million hoops and going up to NY, LA or Vegas (Which I've done in the last 8 years).

BTW: w.r.t. lossless they write: Currently lossless streaming with our Web player is supported in Chrome only

So if they stream lossless, which I doubt, it can only work in chrome and their web player.

It says live not but when I click Watch Livestream it takes me back to the try tidal page. Is this what it is doing for everyone else?

Just sign up for free trial and then call and cancel after the broadcast. Thats what I am doing. It free if you cancel within 30 days
