Listen to Stijn Meuris incorporate a well-known bit in this recent live performance of "Van God Los" Belgian (Flemish) artist Stijn Meuris is celebrating becoming 50 and winning Humo's Rock Rally 25 year ago with his band Noordkaap, and did a gig in Ancienne Belgique in Brussels on 8 April 2015. . Go listen to "Van God Los", which starts at 1h40m20s, and pay attention to what happens about three and a half minutes into the song; see if you recognise anything, especially from about 1:46:45. © Bart Van Hemelen

Prince has lots of fans in Belgium, so it doesn't surprise me at all that there are a few who incorporate some of his familiar work into their own performances. Thanks for sharing this, Bart. I've been kicking myself for not going to any gigs at the AB since I moved here. And that's a shame because my local chill spot is just across the street. | |
