Do you think Prince has ever looked at any of his audiences... ...and thought to himself privately, 'What a fuckin' ugly crowd 2nite?!'

Yes.
I place my reasoning in the line the NPGMC wrote regarding obese Americans, comparing them to the people of Japan... remember this? November 17: One has 2 wonder... Y the MIDRIFF-BARING CRAZE hasn't hit the Japanese women yet...nor the propensity 4 obesity. In America, sometimes these 2 go hand-in-hand.(funkface goes here!) If it's going to be written on his website, he probably thinks it. If he doesn't, then he should review all things before they are posted on his official website. I know I've been blinded by some insanely bright purple dresses and suits people have worn to his concerts. LOL.
With the "mid-driff" comment, if he would have just left out the "obese" remark, we could have taken it as commenting on the way people dress overtly sexy. But he went there with it instead. Making a blanket statement like "well obesity is a health problem so Right On Prince!" is very ignorant. There are people who eat very strict diets and work out several times a week and still cannot manage to loose weight because of their own unique body type. Some people are drawn to overeating because of emotional issues. In some cases snide remarks like that just add to a persons overall low self esteem and contribute to their problem. On a lighter note Prince does look at his audience. I know ive mentioned this before but it cracked me the fuck up when he clocked that lady at the Cleveland show last year for eating a sundae and not paying attention to him play. | |

One of the NPGMC members at the Manchester show last year was asked by Takoumi (spelling?!!), his guitar tech, if she wanted to sit on his stool at the front, because Prince didn't like playing his piano medley to a front row of men.

I've actually heard rumors that at the filming of the SOTT concert movie, the audience members who occupied the front rows were hand-picked (by whom, I don't know) for their appearance.

If you watch the audience clips from Raveun2000. I think you'll get a pretty good idea of what Prince thinks of the audience members. Certain people get the camera on them more than a few times. | |

Prince's only full blood living relative, his sister Tyka, is obese. Rosie Gaines is obese. Chaka Khan is obese. Doubt if he would make any remarks about obesity in front of them.  | |

If Prince looks out at his audience and thinks ugly,Some of his associates that he hangs with and works with wouldn't win a contest for good looks.I would hope he would be mature enough not to think that much about the way a person looks, the man is almost 45 years old. | |

4/20/02 @ The Kodak Theater in the 1st row. I looked up after studying J.Blackwell on the "skins" during "when U were mine", PRINCE winked at me..
(I know... insert comments HERE), then walked over inches away,& gave up the guitar solo, which turned up in THE BOX SET. FISH | |
