I skimmed the interview, but stopped along on points to listen. She looks and sounds great and had some entertaining stories to share. I caught a part of the interview where she talks about Prince, starting around 26:15-28:00 minutes in. It's actually a wonderful story she told of how Prince was the first person she dated who validated her closeted suspicions that she, a girl from the projects, might actually be very intelligent. It seems he either directly, or at least indirectly, encouraged her to embrace her intellectual assets and move in the direction of higher education. Now, Troy Byer (FKA Troy Yvette Beyer) is an accomplished actress, author, screenwriter, and founder of the Heartbreak Recovery Centers with a doctorate in Psychology. U go girl.
