Favorite rap performance in a Prince song

I know this bar is low but I think the rapping in the Love Sign (Mack Message Mix) is my vote.

Days Of Wild (studio version),
Good Life (remix mentioned above),

... The Pope (no, no, seriously).

Not by Prince :

Tony M. on "Willing and Able",

Sheila E. on "Koo Koo", from the middle bridge to the end (very Neneh Cherry circa "Raw Like Sushi"),

... Cat on "Alphabet St.". Just kidding.

Live, my vote goes to the Malcolm Jamal Warner rap. Club Metro. 1993.

On record, I'm going to have to pick that hecka slamming Care Bears/Elmo rap from the improved version of Extraloveable.

Neither of those things is true. (My real answer is Universal Love or Undisputed (Moneyapolis mix) if that counts. I also have a soft spot for Horny Pony that I don't like to admit.)

U Know

by considerable landslide...

the flow is current and updated...the lyrics are profound and revealing...wordplay is clever...beat is sick...should have been AOA first single...

any prince verses b4 that song sound like he is TRYING to rap ..

On U Know, he actually sounds like a 2014 mc...

he surprised me with the melodic faux Drake/ Trey Songz rap delivery

I too love the rap delivery in U Know, it caught me by surprise. And I agree it's a travesty it wasn't the first single from AOA. Funk N' Roll is good but funk is not popular right now. That faux rap Trey Songs thing is.

Why doesn't 'Silicon' ever get the credit it deserves? His most straight out rap song.

but seriously I like it when he does a psuedo rap thing. Like his delivery in RACE or MY MEDALION.

I'm not sure if Horny Pony counts as rap but it's really rather dope: 'Listen 2 me whilst I show U how 2 do it...just like a virgin, U got 2 ease into it'. Doesn't get much better than that in my book.
