A Prince Music-Video Collection DVD/Blu-Ray?

I don't know about anyone else, but I'd absolutely LOVE to have something like this. Where they remastered all the music videos and maybe throw in a couple previously un-seen live vids in there, and where it's not a bootleg so Prince can make money from it... I know there was the Hits Collection but they left off some of them and there had been more since then... I would love to have it to see his dancing and performances! Maybe he's waiting for the right time but P and WB needs to think about this... It'd bring serious money to them and P, and fans would be satisfied... Well at least I would.

In the torrentsphere we have the Prince iVault.

A decent collection of various Prince stuffs. Fills a DVD but not entirely.

Plays in my car.

Nice for those trips to Kopenhagen.

Oh. You need video?

Yes, me too. wave

I need a dvd collection with all Prince music videos 1978 to 2015 - I really love 1981 to 1995 (Controversy to Gold).

(I know thats a lot of stuff, it would be a massive dvd collection.. but look what Michael Jackson did wit his Vision DVD collection!)

Yes, that would be good. But, a DVD collection would be better!

I collect DVD & Blurays. I have around 5,000 titles. At this point I have been able to pick up just about every TV show & movie I could ever want. My list of what I want them to release gets smaller and smaller every year as almost everything I love eventually gets a release (Decline Of The Western Civilization Part II: The Metal Years is finally coming out this summer!!). I'm hoping everything on my "wish list" gets released to a physical format before physical formats go away forever in favor of the damned cloud. Like others have mentioned, I NEED the videos, as well as the concerts & collections that have already been released on other home video formats, on DVD or Bluray before the formats go away!!

Please? wink

I would simply download the YT videos in HQ and I'd have my DVD collection lol But yeah obviously there is (still) a demand for hard formats so why not do both?

I think we need to wait for the WB Cold War (as opposed to the 93-96 WB Wars, since this current war is almost free of any public bashing) to end to see whether anything will happen anyway sad

Yeah, I agree with doing both a YT channel and a DVD/Blu Ray

He could have done this ages ago but chose not to.

Don't ruin my hopes and dreams! jk lol but Prince wouldn't even have to put effort in promoting it or production-wise or anything. All he has to do is give WB the green light and they'll do it.

Out of interest, does anyone know how many of Prince's music promos were recorded in HD? The ones taken directly from the films obviously were, and I would assume that all the promos since Musicology were filmed in HD - but which others?

U been bamboozled, hoodwinked, took.

Hi Udo, you are right...... Prince chose not to release it.

and........... I WONDER WHY?

Obviously Prince does not care about his fanbase... our needs to have the good old stuff, officially released, that hurts, to know Prince is such a friggin ***hole that doesn't care about us..... confused confused confused

Of course it is his music and his right not to release it. BUT WHY????
