prince can you put out crystal ball 2 this summer? you're probably not going to do it and I don't even know if you read these forums.but the majority of the tracks selected have already leaked and who's going to say when the next will a decade after you conceived the idea for a subsequent installment for the series?
its not like you owe anything to us but just think of the happiness it will bring to your friends. actually i dont know if you care about the happiness of your friends. but you can put it on your site and we will all pay.
thanks for whatever you have cooked up for the summer anyway.

But seriously, you have a point there. I'm guessing that Prince gets zero money from any of these leaks (maybe some nice publicity among the hardcore fans).
Surely, putting out a disc with a compilation of unreleased tracks like Crystal Ball II would not be a problem (?)
I have most of these leaks in some form or other but for sure I'd buy a CD with better sounding quality. | |

I would buy any outtakes collection Prince puts out. Sadly, he shows no real inclination to do so. He makes no money from leaks. Unless you count theoretical indirect money through fans who are motivated to attend concerts or buy official releases after hearing some outtakes. I try not to think about him releasing outtakes collections like Springsteen's Tracks or Dylan's Bootleg Series (especially 1-3!) because I just get fucking depressed. Oh FFS, we do NOT need a new Crystal Ball. Outtake collections like that are pointless. What we need is curated deluxe editions, with outtakes in their correct historical context. © Bart Van Hemelen
