That Tuareg remake of Purple Rain...

It's making its way around the country. It's showing here as part of the Nashville Film Festival on Friday the 24th (so if you're near, come on down), and apparently they're just doing occasional screenings here and there, focusing mostly on areas where there's an interest in the Agadez sound or a strong North African presence. I'm seeing it, so I'll give a full report afterward.

The description makes it seem a tad more interesting than merely being a "remake" of Purple Rain, apparently quite a few european art film influences and whatnot. Anyway, looks potentially quite interesting, I hadn't heard of it before so thanks for bringing it to my attention, I'm intrigued top see what you make of it.
