she keeps breaking Prince down on Andy Allo's song Fighter from her new EP Hello (which I like a lot) that is on SoundCloud & iTunes she sings, "There will always be a conductor. Gives you hope until you find his street is another dead end. That won't stop me never." The album she recorded with Prince is Superconductor, so she is saying I will move on from that rock 'n roll love affair with Superconductor Prince which didn't work out to a new relationship (conductor).

Im sure its about him, but Im not really feeling anything off this EP. I loved her Prince album and her debut had some decent stuff on it, but this change in sound doesn't do much for me. Change it one more time..

Yea it's definitely about him i think. I also think the ballad "Don't Ever Say" is probably about him too. Damn they really seemed to have inspired each other between AOA and this Hello EP.
I like this new sound...don't love it. I think she should stick to neo-soul music.

Another associate who sounds bitter after Prince but didnt complain when Prince put them on and will never do anything greater than what was done with Prince.

Mods: could you please keep this thread in this forum even though it has to do with an associated artist song, it is referring to Prince & some people may not know about her new EP if they don't go to the other forum? At least it is some new music to check out. I think her vocal range is impressive on some of the tracks & she is singing different styles of music compared to her past albums very well.

Sounds like a Katy Perry song. Bland radio pop.

Whoa. These are some great pop tunes. Her voice is much better suited for this. Damn Prince why you gotta hurt a nice girl like that!

. Isn't it interesting how Prince played "Rock 'n Roll Love Affair" this weekend at the Paisley Park party after not playing it for a long time? Or am I combining things which I shouldn't...

I like her voice, but this new sound of hers is mediocre at best. It just sounds like the rest of radio, if that was her intent then she succeeded.

So, her first album Unfresh was better? "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

Didn't say that, I'm just talking about her current direction. Look, it's finely polished pop music, which is fine if that's what you like, but I'd prefer a little more originiality... It sounds like it'll get easy radio play which I suspect she's aiming for, who wouldn't, if you're an up & coming artist? But I can't follow an artist that's just going to go down the polished pop road, just ain't my cup o tea.
