SNL shoutout to "Batdance" Jay Pharoah During the hilarious "will you play Batman with me" monologue, once quick cut is to Michael Che wearing the Batdance costume (arriving at the wrong time for the gag). He later re-emerges as "Harry Belafonte" from Beetlejuice's end credits (again at the wrong moment). . Couldn't find a screengrab but it was the same half Bat half Joker theme - hilarious. .

That's so funny because I was on the phone during the SNL monologue and not paying attention when Pharoah came out in the Batman suit and it took a couple seconds to register that it was the Batman/Joker concept that Prince donned in the "Batdance" video. And it happened so fast I was left questioning if I had actually seen what I thought I saw or if my eyes were playing a trick on me. I think he actually mentioned "Batdance?" Anywho, it was a nice send-up | |
