Is there even a photo of Prince with a horn in his mouth? I always paid little attention to the rumors that he could play some sax. I have never seen or heard it and I am the original old school Prince fanatic who was there to buy For You the day it was released. | |

A saxophone is mentioned in that very first interview that Prince ever gave, it was some sort of highschool newspaper. And both Candy and Eric confirmed that Prince can play the saxophone, albeit not really well. Candy said she listened to a tape of him playing, and Eric said it would take a long time to develop what he called an "embouche" (spelling?) to properly play the sax, and Prince does not have that. But yeah, he is supposedly able to play some basic stuff on the saxophone. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?" | |

Why did u buy it (For You)? I mean it was P's first record so u couldn't possibly have heard him before that, since even the first single wasn't out at that time. just saw that "Face Down" video for the first time...was it supposed to be a parody of rap videos?...or was that just unintentional comedy?...im still not sureci understand the concept behind the song/video, and ive heard the song several times [Edited 4/5/15 12:53pm] | |
