But, Prince doesn't want to do this. And why should he? "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

Stadiums? No. Its too many people, then you gotta worry too much about transportation and traffick. Decent sized indoor arena's are ok as long as I can get there and back without wanting to murder people. Change it one more time..

I odnt think he needs a stadium tour rt now...he's building onto his fanbase in a grass roots way and he's playing it perfectly leveraging his legend status with high profile appearences and then playing in more accessible venues...great balance of high/low

Please, no. I can't stand stadium shows. They are awful for everything except the Nuremberg Rally effect, which can be fun, not really good for music. The only band that should play in stadiums is Pink Floyd, because their visual effects are so much huger than the people on stage, it doesn't matter if you can see the stage.

i was there also it was unreal with 75,000 people also seen the nude tour 1990in cork ireland in front of 60,000 when prince was right on top of his game and then saw the diamonds and pearls show in dublin in front of 30,000 had the time of my life. i enjoyed lovesexy , act II and ultimate live experience in arenas but for me wasnt the same, last time i saw prince was at malahide castle ireland july 2011 infront of 40,000 , my fav prince gig ever opened with Gold and blew me away.
so would defo say prince could still fill 30-40 thousand seater stadiums no problem.

After his sub-par performance at the last arena show I saw (first night in Chicago the last time he was there), I doubt I will ever see another large-venue Prince show. I'd rather save my pennies and plump for VIP at a more intimate location. Fewer hits, greater happiness.

. Perhaps aftershows? Or are these a thing from the past? Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

I was so pissed I was missing that first night in Chicago the last time he was here. I was out of town for work. A few friends went and the texts I was getting during the show were so funny and awful at the same time, I thought they were joking...then I got back and all were sooooo disappointed. So glad now I missed it. I saw him at Chicago Theater years ago when Rainbow Children came out. It was an awesome show...I remember some people being pissed because he didn't play too many hits...but I thats why i loved it so much. That and I could hear and see perfectly. It was the perfect venue for him.
