We are on the right side of musical history as ultimately, his body of work will speak for itself and none of his faults and flaws will matter. Ok maybe if he robbed a bank with his gun shaped microphone or (definitely) destroyed all the tapes, that would impact but otherwise all the gripes about missing t-shirts, sending legal warnings to fans, not being the perfect pop star... won't matter at all just like it doesn't matter Beethoven was rude to his maids and had anger management problems.
I think he has a pretty good chance of being considered one the pioneering patron saints of DIY multi-instrumentalist recording composers, especially due to his stylistic breadth.
