20 years ago tonight, Mayte sat on my..... Head! Literally. It was the Emporium Aftershow. Still one of my favourite shows to date. Mayte backward stage dived, and I was in the front row and my head took a lot of the weight as her backside landed on me and she was passed overhead.
Anybody else go what were your memories?

Thats awesome. I would've loved those Emporium gigs. Those 2 nights might be my favorite shows musically and from a setlist perspective. I am really found of the Astoria gig though, that might be my favorite "18 & Over" performonance. I take it this was the first night. When Prince was handing out copies is this at the beginging of night one where he started playing the "Bump Squad" loop. [Edited 3/22/15 15:50pm]

Same exact thing happened to me at LA Glam Slam 94. Got whip lashed & didn't care a bit. Stevie Wonder came out & I forgot anything that happened before . Now if Stevie stage dove on me now that would of been a story. Mavis fell off he stage on her attempt. [Edited 3/22/15 15:55pm]

I was at the 2 Emporium aftershows as well. 2 of my favourite aftershows I have been to. I was at the guestlist for the second one together with 3 friends because I bought some T-shirts (black ones with the Golden letters NPG on them) after the first night and the people who sold them were so nice to put my name on the list when I told them I was worried I might not make it inside the second night and travelled from Austria to see the shows. When there was the security check for the second night the guy who checked the guestlist refused to even look for my name and told me I am sure not on the list, but the second security told him "wait her name is on it". With a very special thank you to Tina: Is hammer already absolute, how much some people verändern...ICH hope is never so I will be! And if, then I hope that I would then have wen in my environment who joins me in the A....

Excuse my vulgarity, but what did that thang smell like? On topic, I wish I could've seen him with this NPG lineup during that time.

Was only thinking the same over the weekend..20 yrs makes you feel kinda middle aged!.I remember 'handling' Mayte when she climbed onto the speaker and jumped with cries of 'Save my baby' coming from Prince. Also remember getting a lolly from P when he walked out the first night. My three fav memories apart from the awesome music though are 1) Carrying my mate over my shoulders down Wembley Way (he fell and twisted his ankle leaving the venue) when trying to beat the crowd onto the tube - a Saving Private Ryan moment 2) P telling the cameraman to 'put down that camera this is no photoshoot U dumb MF'..leaving the guy to try to duck down and hide whilst still filming 3) Having a 5am breakfast with a great group of fans after the first night and then trying to sleep on a bench in Hyde park 'cause I was a poor student and couldn't afford a hotel

You're shitting me right?! That's truly, random and awesome at the same time. What the hell did Gazza do there. Is it his type of music?

What did Gazza do there? He drank! Was it his type of music? Gazza didn't care, they had his type of alcohol. RIP
