It's too short, but still a great live dvd. Wish there were more official releases like it.

The quality on this release is terrible, the sound especially so.

I love the Alladin DVD. There are of course plenty of other great official and unoffical releases but this document of the ONA tour is fantastic IMO.

Push & Pull is great, Nikka gets a tad annoying at the end though. 1 1 1=3 is excellent, Stolling & U Want Me is are amazing. Not to mention the great performance of Got A Broken Heart Again.

No it isn't. It's a pathetically incompetent piece of work, seemingly filmed and edited and authored by amateurs. The concert is incomplete, the sound mix is stale, the picture quality is rubbish in places. This was widely panned at the time, and rightly so.

Wow! A lot of you are allergic to anything positive. The Alladin Live DVD of course could have been better produced and mixed etc. but it's better than not having it and I am greatful for it nonetheless. As we all know Prince's official visual footage is very very limited and he of all performances deserve real official releases but jeez let a person exclaim his joy for something.

In the end yes I second the motion that I love watching Alladin. My favortite moments are push and pull, strange relationship and roller coaster, say what? Appreciate don't hate.

Sorry, I thought the thread was open to people to offer their opinion. I didnt realise it was only for those who like the DVD. I should really edit my posts and delete everything I said..... but I cant be arsed. So I will leave you lot to your positivity love-in.

This was something people PAID for, not some free MP4. How dare people expect to receive an item that is up to the same standards of other items of equal value.

This "we should be garteful for anything, even if it is crap" is NOT a healthy opinion. We heard this shite back when NPGMC was offering craptastic MP3s, and we bitched so hard a) we got better MP3s and b) another company took over and they got rid of the buggy Quicktime application and instead offered an easier to use website.

Hell, I bet you didn't like it when people bought VHS videos from NPGMC and received homemade B&W copies of a Japan TV broadcast and demanded a refund.

Yeah let me help you all out. That DVD is piece of shit. It's just crap. Prince should never have released anything no matter how crappy it was. In fact it sucks so much they should have paid us to just watch the sub par shit that made on the DVD. I can't believe anyone likes it. What fools! I mean Prince must the first artist to put out a shitty product and try to pass it off for a good thing.

I was at the Alladin taping & boy what a misrepresenation of one of my all time favorite attended shows. Where is Power Fantastic, Days of Wild? I'll admit I left before the show ended to hotstep it to the aftershow at Stdudio 54, now those were the Days of Wild!

It is nice to have Whole Lotta Love though.

Well thank you for correcting me. I still dig it though.

Aside from the chopppy editing, I'm not sure what everyone's problem is with the Rave DVD. I like it a lot. Alladin is sort of a mess and doesn't really capture the spitit and nature of those shows very well.
