But there's little chance that a PR remaster will include 3 discs of unheard material, and Prince's current output (whilst not as good as his peak) is not comparable to Ringo Starr's solo work.

Well, that's true: at least Ringo released a good track in the 2010's: Mystery of the Night from Y Not.

Probably not. PE's performance doesn't speak to anyone needing more.

We'll eventually get another from Prince and if he's going in the direction of the exs face, I'd be very very psyched for that since that could yield an updated lovesexy kind of album ....

I think you may have misunderstood my point ... of course Prince (even sub-parr Prince) is better than Ringo Starr.

Why? With Prince's track record with terrible mastering even on the last two albums it wasnt great, you'll probably just get a slightly improved version get yourself the HD Tracks release I dont imagine it will be much better and likely no additional extras.

Because I do expect there to be extras. The mastering is certainly an issue, but it rarely takes away my enjoyment. As opposed to bad songwriting, as in the last 20 years or so.
