the voice(s) sounds more speeded up than usual Susannah Melvoin was backing Prince on a lot of stuff during those years too

It's possible the track was sped up by a fan/collector and may not be the way P intended. I got two sides... and they're both friends.

I think I read here that it's Prince singing in falsetto and then getting the Camille treatment... It sounds really bizarre, but I love it!

it's playful classic Prince. very magical atmosheric feel to it in my opinion. similar to All My Dreams in some respects.

When I first heard it, I thought of Hoffs and the Bangles.

It's higher pitched than any other Camille-style track for sure, but the song was recorded just days after the Camille album was compiled so unlike earlier songs (like Love or $ etc) it's safe to assume it would've been credited to Camille had it been officially released.

It sounds like a song he would have given to another artist to sing -- possibly a female artist. It's so poppy and almost bubble-gummy.

We really need the full version of this to leak. I wonder how long the full song is. That sample is a double edge sword, it's great but leaves me desperate to hear the full creation.

I agree that it sounds like a song possibly written for a female group or artist (likely the Bangles, Shelia, etc). Prince liked it enough to place the melody into the "Cross The Line" piece for the Lovesexy Tour.

The Colors R brighter, the Bond is much tighter
No Child's a failure Until the Blue Sailboat sails him away from his dreams Don't Ever Lose, Don't Ever Lose Don't Ever Lose Your Dreams

I think it sounds most interesting towards the, the last 5 sec or so. Some spaced out chords as the song fades out. The wooh is on the one!
