Prince has made Hannah Welton, the focal point of 3RDEYEGIRL musically and visually. Musically, Hannah sings lead and co-lead on 8 of the 12 songs on Plectrumelectrum, not to mention the 2013 song "Live Out Loud" and now "What If". In concert, Hannah is naturally vivacious, charismatic and energetic which goes over well with fans in a live setting. And she is accessible on social media. During 3RDEYEGIRL interviews, she answers most of the question-being the de facto leader of the backing band. Following the recent history of Tamar Davis, Bria Valente and Andy Allo, Prince might want to squeeze one album out of Hannah. Tamar and Bria were average at best but Andy Allo is genuinely the most musically inclined and talented artist he has worked with in decades. I wish he would work with Andy more, but it seems Andy has made a break from Prince creatively, at for now. In his mind, he needs another female protege and Hannah is in prime position.

I'd take Liv over Andy 8 days a week.

Don't the other 2 have stronger accents?

He tried to turn Andy into something she isn't at all.
He should have done a seperate album with her that accented her style with is more cool more natural stripped

It's not the worst idea I've ever heard.

This idea wouldn't surprise me, unfortunately Hannah can't sing. I can pretty much guarantee that if Prince really does a Hit and Run tour, you will not be hearing Hannah sing anything from Plectrum Electrum live.

She's certainly no worse a vocalist than Sheila E and happens to also be playing drums.

The main problem is that there's no charisma to go with the music. Sure, Shelia E sold sex, or rather Prince sold sex through Sheila. With Hannah, what's being sold that is enticing or interesting?

There's always the chance she was given something sublime or at least interesting, we'll have to wait and see.

No diss AT ALL to Tamar or Hannah or Andy or whoever but Prince needs to collaborate with someone other than another R&B starlet. I want to see him work with someone with meat on their musical bones - someone hwo could be his musical match or equal. Mind you, not many major older acts like Prince are taking protegees under their wing but I'm not excited by any of these protegees.

With her mouth? No way.. thats a huge fight waiting to happen. If Sinead was crazy, Azelia is probably equally so (off her meds at least). I don't think he would do too well around her.

I remember when he was on George Lopez and had the girls (Liv, Elisa & Shelby) sing something as if they were going to be a little mini-group. I was actually looking forward to him doing something with them. They sounded amazing together and could probably tear up some music in the studio.

Tamar is NOT an average singer! She was a child prodigy. She has had a successful, career after leaving 's wings. Plus her album was shelved by Universal. She never got a chance to see her potential with ...

But I do agree with U that Hannah is not going anywhere. Especially since bonded with her husband Joshua in the studio. It's a match made in heaven. Hannah has the look of a pop princess.

God, I hope not. I tried to be supportive of Hannah vocals at the beginning, because A) everyone wanted to hate them and B) because they didn't sound that bad to me at first on PLEC. Now I can't tolerate anything she sings on, and the vocals on What If are abysmal. Focus on the drums, I say, and stick to backing vox. She's not a lead singer and never should be. Just because you're pretty doesn't mean you should be in front singing.

Ive not spent one dime on proteges. Never will. They dont interest me. 99.9% of them are massive wastes of time and resources.
