Yeah it is Slow Love. Adore isn't on the SOTT movie. That performance of Slow Love is probably my second favourite Prince moment.

I'm not around for so long like some of you (though I've seen very much on video by now), so mine is the Adore performance in Berlin, Oct 19th, 2002.

My single fav P moment was when his private jet plane landed in Sheridan Wyoming and as he gets off the reporter asks him some question, can't recall what it was but I think they asked him what he thinks of Wyoming and his answer was PURPLE...then he says excuse me, and runs toward the fans in the bleachers takes off his jacket and throws it to them...then there was the time when he...just kidding I could go on for days...wink so many good moments...

Well, my first and only (so far) concert experience of his was pretty, uh, special. (and my single most favorite Prince experience)

That night, I had my first conversation with a guy my friend was trying to get me acquainted with. He just happened to have tickets to the Prince concert that night. I had never seen this guy prior. I just knew that he was Hindu and he told me he wore a turban. I thought..."cool." So, he picks me up in his very interesting vintage car (can't remember what model or year) He indeed wore a turban and had a very thick beard. When we arrived at the concert venue we got nothing but stares. He was a huge guy and looked very intimidating, but was actually the sweetest and most gentleman-like person I'd ever come across.

Our seats were way off to the side of the stage and pretty high up, but when Prince got his behind on that stage...distance was not a factor. It was strange seeing older, macho-looking men singing his material and also refreshing to look around and see EVERY walk of life imaginable enjoying his music as a whole. Prince made comments about this towards the end of the concert. He stated that this was what he wanted his music to do, to bring people together. This was around the time of the election and he made a comment to the effect that "man shouldn't try to govern themselves because things like this happen" (regarding the miscalculations of votes, etc.) "We should let God govern us." He felt good that night from what I could tell and did several encores. The last song he played was "Pop Life" and he let about a million people on stage to dance with him. Nice...(yes he preached a little, but it was still...nice...)

The after party was at this embarrassingly cheesy club with wooden mermaids and a big ugly Poseidon hanging on the ceiling. Prince stood on this balcony the entire time talking to Geneva with all of these people just standing under the balcony staring up at him with awe. It was like he was holding court (LOL) But he did dance while he was up there. And, of course, I could have SWORN he looked right at me and *winked*, but I bet every girl in the place could say the same thing (ha haaa)

Yes I was!!! My buddy and I came from Chicago and decided it was as good a time as any to see Paris... with Prince playing there too. After the show at the Zenith, we jumped on the train and headed to the Bataclan. Good Lord, what a night! I started out on the main floor but when Prince came onstage, everyone surged forward and it got kind of tight so I went upstairs to the balcony. Good Move!

That was the best aftershow that I have EVER seen!!

Oh, wait a second. I totally forgot P's performance at the 1991 MTV Video Music Awards. That performance of "Gett Off" was unforgettable.

My favorite Prince moment performance-wise would be the acoustic set he played on the 4th night of the 2002 Celebration at Paisley Park, especially when he played "One Kiss At A Time"!! However, my favorite Prince moment personally speaking would be the time he came down off the stage at the Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles, CA (April 11, 1997) just to give me a hug!!! smile smile smile

I recall another moment that really made me fall in love with Prince...

He recieved what I believe to be an NAACP Lifetime Achievement Image Award a few years back. When he reached the stage to accept he got a RAVING standing ovation and almost began to cry. In all his cool facade, I've never seen him so vulnerable. He managed to compose himself and gave a wonderful, humble acceptance speech.

First seeing the whole Computer Blue/Darling Nikki bit when the film was on tv the first time.

In the live performance of 'Anotherloverholenyohead' when in that fantastic yellow suit he kind of backs off, hands in pockets, and glances sideways smiling at the band, just seeming to listen to his band doing a great job, he looks like he's saying, god this is cool!

First hearing Alphabet Street in the back of a car while waiting for my mum to come out of the bank. After that I started buying Prince records left right and centre.

The second he opend his album with...

"All of this and more is for you.
With love, sincerity and deepest care,
my life with you I share."

That is my favourite and most touching Prince moment.
