Great song and a bangin' album. Love songs like this from him where he lets his guard down and really opens up, letting us in on his thoughts as he confronts a cold and fickle music industry that harbors little in the way of love for an immensely talented artist that does not conform to industry standards. Both in terms of lyrics and music, DPM is a stark counterpoint to the more usual displays of self-assured bravado found in Prince's music. . The Truth really makes me appreciate even more the hardship Prince went through in the 90's to win his independence from the constrictions of his WB contract. As a result, we received wonderful artistic pieces that we might not have had otherwise, such as this album, The Rainbow Children, One Night Alone, Xpectation, and N.E.W.S.

Love it. Real nice chill out album aswell, seems kind of like an attempt at his own version of one of those unplugged albums from the early 90's to me. "Comeback"s my favourite, especially moving, just wish it was longer. Wonder what the original non-acoustic version of "Welcome 2 The Dawn" sounds like? We're here, might as well get into it.

I love The Truth. Prince doing an acoustic album all of a sudden was nice. And people say the 90s had no originality.. Maybe do, just not like did before
