and of course I would leave the fart in Tick Tick Bang. It would be wrong to edit that out. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Oh my god I remember when I first listened to Peach and Blacks broadcast about GB and when they mentioned it I couldn't listen to TTB in a public place for about a month without bursting out laughing. Maturity at it's finest.

I though Graffiti Bridge was pretty much a perfect album when it came out in 1990. I am surprised to hear that many people had issues with it.
The only change I would make would be combine NPG parts 1 and 2 into its original version, no fade out, and not the rmixed version on the 12"/CD single. I wanted the whole 6:36 minute track. I thought conceptually it was a mistake to cut that song in two as it was the evolutionary message of his band/fan club/ etc, that became a the mission statement for him and his brand.
I would still have left NPG as track two. And i would have had Graffiti Bridge be the album closer. Maybe have an extended version of GB end the album, if one existed but I think the single CD was running out of room so maybe he had to keep GB short.
It is still a great album as it is.

Personally I think it's a brilliant album that never was... Yes I believe this album could've stood the test of time amongst 1999, Purple Rain, Sign O' The Times. Hell I even believe this album could've been his best album of the 90's... But it wasn't...
Scrap all those horrible filler songs like Melody Cool, Graffiti Bridge, etc... Scrap the image of the cinematic flop, and put in some of the old configurations of The Time songs into this album and personally it would've been one of my favorites.
My track list would be:
1. New Power Generation 2. Data Bank #1 3. The Question of U 4. Elephants and Flowers 5. We Can Funk 6. Joy in Repetition 7. Jerk Out 8. Thieves In The Temple 9. Pandemonium 10. The Grand Progession

The album is fine the way it is, imo, but I would luv to rewrite/edit the film. Surprisingly, it's been on one of our premium cable channels this past week.

One of my favorite Prince albums. It's fine,as is. Arguably- lose "Latest Fashion", "Graffiti Bridge", "Release It" & "Round & Round" and you have an even better album. Addition by subtraction. Add "Theives" extended, and "New Power Generation" extended and you have something! The album cover was a mess & the movie a disaster- Great album

Just get rid of the title track and that alone would make it 100xs better.
