Favorite Unreleased Tracks

I'm just starting to get into the world of studio outtakes & wondering what some of your recommended ones are. As a toe-dipper I'm already partial to -

All Day All Night

Roadhouse Garden

Our Destiny

Electric Intercourse

Possessed

In A Large Room With No Light

I Lust U Always

What else should I be on the lookout for?

Good Man

Those are my favorites.

Well, that song everyone is/was hoping for last year. My personal choices are. Get Blue, Open Book, Extralovable.... And a hell lot more that I'm to tired of bringing up right now.

There were rumours of a new boot release with some better quality versions of these and some more recent tracks.

Is there any sign of it or do we have to be patient......?

This. Twice. So simple, it would have been impossible for anyone but Prince. There are points in the song I'd swear you can just hear he is singing with a smile on his face. Beautiful often overlooked outtake.

I'd also say "Train" is a must have. The music is almost onomatopoeic as it quickly builds up and starts to chug along to Prince telling his woman if she really wants to leave then there's a train leaving in the morning.

"Mad" is a 90s outtake I've always loved. It's not particularly deep, but it's dirty.

I LOVE 'Purple Music'. It was the soundtrack to many late nights writing essays at uni.

I also like 'Big Tall Wall'. I don't know why though. Catchy, I suppose.

The ONLY and I do mean ONLY unreleased tracks that you need to track down are as follows:

Wonderful Ass(playful fun), Rebirth of the Flesh(funky drum machine and guitar driven), Witness 4 the Prosecution(rock version-kicks ass), Neon Telephone(you have to sing along with it), All My Dreams(really trippy), In a Large Room with No Light(great energy), Old Friends 4 Sale(bare bones legendary goodness in terms of lyrics and music), Sexual Suicide(I thought it was on Crystal Ball), Poor Goo(guitar work goodness) and Electric Intercourse!

All the other songs you hear are really sub par demos in my opinion, not worth your time.

When did that circulate? Could u tell us about the track? I know it's a 1999 outtake but is it a fast or slow song? And the track time and instruments used, sorry but I'm just very curious

Thanx. Prince was on a whole new unearthly level that day! Something In the Water and Erotic City were also amazing from that recording. Talk about a recording in dire need of a remaster. lol
